Bring the details that identify your tire
- Brand and full tire model. Copy the entire tire-line name, including suffixes.
- Size and service description. Record what is molded into the sidewall.
- Complete DOT tire identification number. The final four digits are only the manufacturing date group.
- Vehicle and purchase information. Keep the receipt and any tire registration record available.
Read the recall’s scope and remedy
A recall may apply only to particular sizes, identification ranges or production periods. Match the full details rather than assuming every tire with a familiar brand name is included. Contact the manufacturer or an authorized dealer if you cannot establish whether your tire is affected.
Follow the recall notice’s instructions. A vehicle VIN search and a tire-model search answer different questions; replacement tires may require a separate tire lookup.
